I'm 6'3" 235 lbs and needed a bike that had an XL frame. Escape 2 was recommended by a dealer for pleasure rides on light trails and paved paths. I ride an averagae of 80-120 per week, recently road the Silver Comet Trail from Atlanta, Ga. to Alabama (64 miles) and have over 2000 miles on my bike. Giant is a quality product that is durable, comfortable and reliable.

I use my Giant Escape 2 mainly for commuting to work (13 miles each way) and leisure rides on the bike trail. It performs very well and is fun to ride! I love the fact I can install my road bike wheels and tires on in seconds and it becomes lighter and a little quicker, or i can roll with the factory wheels/tires and tackle some light dirt trails on my way to work!! I also have a Giant OCR 3(2001) but being a clydesdale I find the riding position of my Escape 2 more comfortable! I still ride my OCR 3 to work too but the Escape 2 usually gets the first nod!!

Very nice bike...!! This is my second bike, workhorse for my 14 mile commute (round trip) to work. I find it to be a very comfortable commuter bike, very durable. Highly recommend for commuters or as a good quality first bike. Pedals it came with aren't that great, but plan to replace them soon.

This is my first bike. I tested the Giant Boulder SE side by side and found this bike more comfortable. Overall they are similar quality. It shifts a bit better than the Boulder SE and its grips were much more comfortable. I really love this bike.
